Katabatic Brewery Trackside Photo Shoot

Livingston is a town rife with history, a place where a stroll downtown brings you to the edge of the past. One of the key features of our historic spots is the Livingston Depot Center. Livingston was once the main stop for traffic coming by rail to visit Yellowstone National Park, and our Depot center reflects that heritage.

Katabatic Brewing Company, our brewery of choice for atmosphere and good people, acquired a space in the Depot earlier this year. The defunct wine bar they took over was turned into an event space unlike any in town. Not only is it the perfect cozy spot for weddings, birthday parties, office events, and any other gathering, its location right on the tracks offers some of the best train spotting in the area.

This spring shortly before the space opened to the public, Katabatic owner Shawn Markman reached out to me about shooting their employee party. He wanted to showcase the new space, and capture some images of people enjoying it.

This was a different shoot than what I typically do, and it was a lot of fun. The Katabatic crew is a great group of people and the weather was ideal to enjoy the outside space. A few of these photos have been making the rounds on Katabatic’s social channels and website and I look forward to seeing more of them being utilized!
